You Can’t Run For To Long…He Will Catch You

Have you ever thought God was calling you to a higher level but you weren’t sure? Or maybe you heard His call but decided to run from it? Maybe you thought you could go about your daily life and God would just forget about you?

Truth is, I’ve been running for a long time myself, and if God has a calling for your life, He will catch up with you sooner or later, and when He does finally reach you, He will make a grand arrival.. You might hear Him call you loudly in your spirit, in a dream, or a vivid vision. God’s calling can come in many forms.

The Bible says in John 10:27 “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” If He were to call you at this very moment, would you listen or ignore Him? Would you think about what would happen to your life if you didn’t answer?

See, a lot of us don’t take that into consideration or even take God seriously. I’ll be the first to admit, I didn’t for several years up until God caught up to me. In reality you can’t hide from Him, He knows everything about us. Jeremiah 1:5 says “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” God already knew whether you would run from Him or accept His calling.

God has called you to follow His will that He has set for your life, to make sure you enjoy your life fully. Psalms 16:11- “ You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand” Doesn’t that sound amazing, to live in peace and joy? To wake up feeling like you have been set free from the things that tie us down mentally and emotionally? To have the Holy Spirit within you, to guide and lead you away from trouble and temptation? But to lead you down a straight path that will benefit you and your family forever?.

Like I stated before, I’ve been running for a long time. But this time, I am done running.. I have decided to just breathe and surrender everything to God. Is it hard? Yes it is, but I know deep down in my heart where I stand with Him. I know I have a calling on my life. Lying to yourself doesn’t help.. The best part of accepting His calling is you won’t be the only one going through this. By God’s grace He will not leave nor forsake you during your walk with Him. He will even send people your way to help, whether it’s a pastor, a mentor, friend, or family member.. You just have to stop, take a deep breathe and tell God, “I’m done running and I surrender”.
